It's not as powerful as Illustrator but it's simple and does most of the jobs quite well. Hope you find it useful.

If you have the C@$H and you're willing to learn, DEFINITELY YES!
Illustrator cannot be exchanged because it's by far the best vector based program, then comes CorelDRAW, and FreeHand comes last. However, Illustrator is the only one available for Mac so I'm afraid getting used to it is a must.
