How are Sony cameras? Our small camcorder is a sony but for some reason (probably advertising) I don't take them seriously for photography. Is it true they bought Minolta?
Cool zoom lens to have with you... Post some shots.
It's A-Mazing. The A700 is a semi-pro camera and it performs outstandingly between both worlds, whether for quick random shots or extreme complicated shots.
I personally went for Sony because, as you mentioned, it acquired Minolta thus their DSLRs have a large variety of lenses and cheap too. But the most important feature is having built-in image stabilizer.
I will review it as soon as possible with some shots. Stay tuned. :)
Bashar: 1- I had a separate budget for this one. :P 2- Ahh no sorry that day I had no credit on my cellphone. :/
Anonymous: Canon and Nikon are the best but Sony can tag along since they bought Konica Minolta. Besides it has built-in image stabilizer which makes it easier to choose new lenses.

Heh, long story short... I paid for them but my friend bought them for me from UK. Costs around 20% less than online orders.
