PPC takes an Uppercut

According to this site, PPC-based Macs will not benefit from the yet to come OS X 10.6 codename "Snow Leopard". This may not be accurate news but it's said that OS X 10.6 will be running pure Cocoa. In other words this draws the final line for older Macs where Intel-based Macs will wander around freely.

It would have been a major concern for me but as you know my PowerBook is already dead so I pity the guys who are still running PPC.

Cocoa has been featured in osx since 10.0.5, I think that what the site means is that carbon lib. will be dropped and the new cocoa libraries in 10.6 will be an intel build only.
Having said that I think that apple and most companies will still use universal binaries to support old ppc based macs.

If Apple ever starts using ThunderCat names for it's OS X codenames I'd be ecstatic @_@
