ARAMEX Shop & Sh!t

"Dear Mac,

Thank you for using SHOP&SHIP, and hope that you always have an enjoyable experience with us.

Kindly note that you have received a shipment containing unacceptable material according to our Mailbox Service Agreement. Your shipment is placed On Hold for further instructions. You can either return the shipment to the supplier or advise us to destroy it. Please contact your S&S local office to advise your preference.

Thank you for shopping with SHOP&SHIP.

Sincerely,

SHOP&SHIP Team"

I know exactly what is written in the Service Agreement and I have read it over and over again yet I fail to notice how a scope could void the agreement and be part of illegal shipments.

The thing is, I have ordered a rifle scope for my air rifle and the next thing I know is Aramex blocking my shipment because it contains gun parts. Their prohibited materials list did not mention gun parts are against regulations, it only mentions ammunition, explosives, firearms, and fireworks.

I could have saved myself the hassle and bought one from here but it costs much less from the internet. The problem here is that we have exclusive firearm dealers who set their own prices as they like, they're charging 200% over the retail price!

The hell with it, 8KD can go to a waste. Now I'll look around for a better service than this stupid Shop & Crap.

LOL!

I think you can go and discuss it with them, yet its gonna take you forever to make them realize how stupid they are. I mean, have you actually met the people who work there ?? what do you expect from them !!

I think you should go and check the matter with them.

a scope for a rifle, that says it all.. and you wonder why they stopped it loooool

You could have saved yourself some trouble by calling them up before ordering and double checking if the scope is allowed. I mean you're not exactly buying innocent stuff here - it doesn't matter that it will be put on an air rifle. What matters here is that it is a weapons-upgrade.

that's nothing, my friend's "little mermaid" DVD is held captive too to this day, i guess they have a beef with disney or something...i think you shouldn't give and go get ur order no matter what

Well, I sure as hell am glad I didn't shop and ship my camera with them ;)

It's all a bit fishy and I don't trust fishy things.

I know that I would be the one and only that has to pay the Import Tax on his stuff.
No, thanks ;)

A SCOOOP!!

No wonder! I think it Does fall under that category :/

who were u planning on assassinating ?

Scope shouldn't fall in that category, unless specifically mentioned as "firearms accessories".

Legally they can go through DEEP shit if you decide to take it to court. Trust me on that one.

Go talk to them and tell them if DHL/FedEx and UPS allow them. Then let them give you the FULL refund of the scope's retail value and "I will make sure to have this done through one of these three couriers."

I know the S&S lady, be firm with her. Works with me all the time. :)

I did go there and it appears to be their decision, not mine, that I cannot have what I ordered.

forzaq8:
Amazon. The ones here in Kuwait suck and they're expensive.

big pearls:
Same thing said to Valley Rose.

zed:
Are paint ball guns illegal? No. Do they use scopes? Yes. Then why don't they ship scopes for paint ball guns?

kj:
I didn't have to. I have their service agreement and their prohibited orders list. Shouldn't that be enough?

hammoodee:
I wish I could but it's in their hands now.

nicole:
Tax? We don't have tax here, on the other hand they would rip your pockets off with customs release fees. :/

ms loala:
What category? It's not ammunition and clearly neither explosives nor fireworks. Now is it a firearm? No. It doesn't fire. It helps on aiming. :/

murqab:
All the 3agad.

R:
Thanks for the tip. I will try your method and ask about legal action against ARAMEX because as you have said they didn't mention anything including "firearms accessories".

First, I'm surprised it passed from US, as I know they ban those items from exporting to outside.

Second, I was gonna say it's against terms to ship weapons and stuff, but the fact it's being sold here defeats it. Did you try talking to Murad, their manager? Try to reach a solution with him, or at least deliver your message.

Quit spamming.

Bashar:
It didn't pass the US. It's held by their US office. And even if it's not being sold out here, there's nothing on their agreement that includes these parts as illegal shipments.

I haven't talked to him and I don't know where to find him. Care to help me out with a number or his working hours?
