Quitting the Smoke, For EVER!

July 1, 2009. Today I will begin my second and hopefully last attempt in quitting my shisha addiction.

It's not really an addiction rather than a stupid way to waste my spare time. I have been indulging myself with it for too long and it's time for me to leave it for good before it's too late.

Thanks to my friend Bashar for helping me out with a script to keep me updated on how long I've been sober from shisha. The script is up and running on my blog side bar.

Wish me luck.

Taking the decision is the first step man. I quit in 2006 and have been clean ever since. Be strong and all the best!

Wooo HOOO on you, Mac. Studies have shown the shisha smoking is every bit as bad for your health as regular cigarettes. I want you to have happy healthy children! oh! wait! First, I want you to get married! No! wait! wait! first I want you to give up shisha!

I know you miss your sheesha, but if it makes you feel any better, the process of sheesha is having lead (which is poisonous and has an effect on birth defects) in the preparation thing and that's an addition to the 6,000 chemicals in it. I bet you won't miss that right?

I just learnt about this piece of info the other day and thought I would share :)

elieruby:
Will do, thanks!

Mathai:
Whoa! Good for you Mathew, I sure hope I have determination like you. Thanks!

Zabo0o6a:
I'll talk him out of it. ;)

Ruby Woo:
Ha Ha! You're a SHISHA ADDICT yourself, aren't you! Heh, I sure hope not. Though it really does smell good sometimes. xD

And thanks for sharing that part of information. I will no longer need that poison within my lungs and veins.

Laialy:
Danke! :D

Intlxpatr:
One of the main reasons I'm quitting is that I'm getting married soon. I don't want to harm anyone with my shisha addiction anymore, including myself.

Charmbracelet:
Thanks ;)

ge0:
Thanks mate! I missed your comments, it's always a pleasure to know you're still around. :)

Ms Loala:
Thank you. :)

Navy Girl:
Heh, yeah it was fun but it got wrapped up with failure. This time though I'm more determined and much more focused on quitting. Thanks! :)

Ruby:
Ah ok, heh sorry for my wrong assumption.
It's not bad once you get used to it, which is bad as a whole. :/

inoor:
Heh, sure xD

il3ameed:
Thanks and Mabrouk! :D
*goes to add the apple*

This might help you & lift your spirit (7elwa hathe ;p)

On 1st of July, 2008. I decided to quit cola/pepsi... etc.
And I actually did it; more than one year without these kind of drinks.

Although setting a fixed date to seek change in yourself is not a good idea, but at least it's better than nothing.

Good luck. Hope you can achieve that.

And sorry for being last to congratulate you for it. All the best, all the best!

When you feel weak, just do what I try some times. I think of two things:

1- Am I really that weak, a slave that is driven by his instant desires rather than braind?

2- If that doesn't work, picture all the bastards in the cigar and shisha industry, laughing at you while they take your money, in addition to your health!

I'm trying my self to cut short on soft drinks.

PS: You're coming this thursday. No excuses ;)
